Just Another Day, Not Enough Java
Not Enough Justice
Children really want to feel safe, to be loved by their family, get a super great education, attend the church of their choice, have decent health care, and not be starved, or be treated like criminals. I see our government agencies treating everyone with hate and disregard not remembering the reasons our ancestors came here long ago. All immigrants who are seeking a better life for their families are being treated with cruelty and without any respect by people who have no heart. Everyone who idly sit back and do nothing, or do not say anything, or do not stand up, should examine their hearts.
The above video expresses strong distress and moral outrage about an incident involving children who ran in fear after seeing ICE agents near their school bus stop.
I along with others have voiced forceful criticism of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, describing the treatment of children as hateful, evil, and lacking decency or humility. Do they have any shame? No one should ever abuse anyone emotionally, physically, verbally or mentally.
According to the report, fourth‑ and fifth‑grade students in Lindenwold, New Jersey ran away in fear after seeing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents near their bus stop. The article notes that:
The agents were reportedly near the Woodland Village Apartments on Gibbsboro Road. msn.com
Children were waiting for their school bus when they learned ICE agents were nearby.
Many of them panicked, running across sidewalks and parking lots to get away.
Parents and residents described the scene as frightening and chaotic. One resident said the kids were “very frightened,” and another said they were terrified to the point of crying. msn.com
The article doesn’t report any arrests or direct interactions between ICE and the children—only that the agents’ presence triggered fear.
Just because the government ( Republican House Members) have taken another 10 day vacation at our expense is not surprising. We all know that they do so because they know that it will delay any votes for reform or revisions to DHS concerning the inhumane treatment towards immigrants and their families. Republican House speaker Mike Johnson has shown time and time again that he has sold his soul to please the president.
Mike Johnson, here are some verses from my Bible about the treatment of others.
What does your Bible say according to God’s Word?
Matthew 7:12: “In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you”.
Ephesians 4:32: “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you”.
John 15:12: “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you”.
Galatians 5:13: “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another”.
Philippians 2:3-4: “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves”.
These verses emphasize love, kindness, and respect in our interactions with others.
Bible Verses About Treating Strangers
My Bible emphasizes the importance of treating strangers with kindness and respect.
Leviticus 19:34: “The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.”
Hebrews 13:2: “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.”
Matthew 25:35: “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.”
Exodus 23:9: “Do not oppress the stranger; you know the heart of the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.”
Leviticus 19:33: “And if a stranger resides with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong.”
These verses remind us that treating strangers well is not just a duty but an expression of our faith and love for God. By incorporating these teachings into our lives, we can create a more compassionate and welcoming world.
Why were ICE agents in that location?
Did the school district received advance notice?
Was ICE conducting an operation unrelated to the children?
What was the official statement from ICE this time?
Those gaps matter, because without them, the situation feels even more alarming to families.
Regardless of politics, it’s heartbreaking to see children feel unsafe on an ordinary school morning. Kids should never have to wonder whether they’re about to be taken from their families. Children should never have to worry that they may come home from school and find their parents have been taken by men who are wearing masks, and really have no legal authority to remove people or children from their homes, work, school or church. The emotional impact on them—and on the parents is devastating and so harmful in every unimaginable way.
